S U N I T R A   S I V A B A L A N

I am a filmmaker who specialises in directing, producing, editing and scriptwriting. I have been studying and working in the film industry for 10 years, beginning my career in editing, producing and directing in Singapore.

 

At the Arts University Bournemouth, I gained knowledge in directing, producing, and writing films, including my recent project as the writer and director of my award-winning debut film, "Flesh of My Flesh". I am the co- producer and director of my latest film, "Twin Flame", where we recently won two awards, "Best Experimental Film" at the New York International Film Awards and "Best Dance Film" at the Beyond the Curve International Film Festival from France.

Having worked in fields ranging from film, documentary, and advertising, I have learned to adapt and diversify my skills and apply them effectively. I have prior experience in various forms of dance, music and theatre, which has enabled me to expand my connections, approach to filmmaking, and collaboration with other creatives.

After completing my latest script, "Bitter Earth'. I am looking forward to shaping it into my first feature film.

I am now based in Sydney studying at NIDA for my MFA in Directing.
